Number of users of the educational platform Daryn.Online exceeds 3.5 million

Due to the coronavirus and the mass transition to distance learning, the number of users of the Kazakh platform Daryn.Online, which is part of the Bugin Holding, reached 3 million by the end of 2020.

As of now, there are already about 3.5 million users, and the platform generates about 71% of the holding's revenue of 2 billion tenge.

The Daryn.Online platform founded by Nurbakyt Zhuldyzbayulaev and Aibek Kuatbayev in 2019. Aibek is also included in the Forbes list of top young Kazakh entrepreneurs "30 under 30". In addition to the educational platform, Bugin Holding includes nine other companies. Among them are the news portal Bugin.kz, several companies developing IT solutions for business and a video content production company. However, the priority direction of the holding is the development of education in Kazakhstan.

Today the Daryn.Online platform is available completely free of charge. It has several training sections: from the standard school curriculum to preparing schoolchildren for admission to schools for gifted children (in Kazakhstan, these are NIS, RPhMS and Bilim-Innovation lyceum). The platform also offers robotics and programming lessons, online Olympiads, and art courses. Each educational course is developed by school teachers and highly qualified educators from educational centers in Almaty and Nur-Sultan. More than 40 teachers cooperate with the platform.

The Ministry of Education of Kazakhstan helped provide free access to the platform for all schoolchildren. Such cooperation allowed the Daryn.Online platform to avoid losses of 80 million tenge, and helped to increase the effectiveness of distance learning for the Kazakh school children. According to Aibek, Daryn.Online combines 28 educational services at once, which makes it easier for teachers to work remotely and helps them adapt to new digital realities. According to Aibek's forecasts, in 2021, Bugin Holding's revenue will grow to 5 billion tenge, 60% of which will come from Daryn.Online.
