How online education may evolve after the global pandemic

| News

Maxim Spiridonov, the CEO of Netology, one of the largest EdTech companies, said in his statement that education will have to adapt to the new environment and develop original approaches to education and create special platforms to broadcast lessons.

EdMarket, together with TalentTech, carried out an analysis of the distance learning education market and found out that last year its budget exceeded 37.5BRUB. But for the lockdown, this indicator could grow by 40% by 2023.

Due to the pandemic, the demand for online education has significantly increased, which portends an even faster pace of market development. For example, in just a week of the lockdown, Foxford, a school educational platform, racked up more than 1 million new users.

The current market situation has given a chance for rapid development to many fledgling online platforms and EdTech companies. Popular online games and educational videos have not gone unnoticed today.

Many major sites have provided free access to training materials, making them available to all interested users. However, it may indeed take some time for everyone to adapt and feel at home with the online learning format. Currently, many users are still getting to grips with the tutorials and deciding for themselves which ones they prefer. There is a wide variety of potential possible alternative paths to choose from and the demand for IT courses for adults has significantly increased.

Heartfelt congratulations and best wishes to you!
