In such a difficult period of public life as the COVID-19 pandemic, the Ministry of Education and Science of the Republic of Kazakhstan managed to create a pedagogical community to select learning strategies for the new year.

Due to the quarantine, it was decided to urgently switch to full-out distance learning.

Due to the need to quickly adapt the education system to new conditions, various platforms were urgently created to discuss the organization of the educational process.

These meetings were attended by local authorities, members of the public, and teachers themselves. As a result, several scientific and informational articles were published. They reviewed current issues of distance learning, as well as ways to solve them.

The collection "Online education during a pandemic" has become one of the main industry publications in Kazakhstan. It was created to summarize the accumulated experience on the implementation of online education during the pandemic, which affected the whole world.

The authors of the collection tried to cover the issues of distance learning in educational institutions of different levels. The collection consists of two parts. The first part has publications from newspapers. The second includes scientific and methodological articles written by teachers from leading universities and schools.

In addition to the collection, there are methodical guidelines, as well as instructions for organizing the curriculum and individual stages of the educational process in the setting of distance teaching.

It is recommended that all participants in the educational process read the collection, as well as follow its advice. The presentation of the collection took place during a scientific conference, which was organized by the L. N. Gumilyov Eurasian National University in Kazakhstan.
