University of Delhi Launches First Fully Online Admissions Campaign
With effect from October 12, Delhi University has started a large-scale online admissions campaign, having completely switched over to this mode.
This year, the admission process for undergraduate programs is carried out entirely online - the university does not advise applicants to personally visit the colleges. Recently, due to a new wave of the coronavirus pandemic, the university had to close several third-year groups. According to Shobha Bagai, Dean of admissions, some employees will continue to work at the colleges for accepting documents.
The process of accepting documents from applicants is automated, where the results of the applicants - future students - are uploaded to the university's website, and the online calculator allows you to calculate which faculty a particular user can get admission to. This automated technical system takes away significant workload of specialists working in the selection committee and simplifies the admission process.
