AI bots for parents, teachers, and children ages 3–8 appeared in India
In India, the National Council of Educational Research and Training (NCERT) launched the e-Magic Box app with AI bots for early learning of children ages 3–8.
The project is designed not only for children, but also for the adults around them: the app immediately includes separate digital assistants for parents and teachers.
According to Times of India, there are three bots inside e-Magic Box: Katha Sakhi (stories and creative content for children), Parent Tara (support and answers to parents' questions), and Teacher Tara (help for teachers working with younger children). This format makes the news especially interesting: it is not just a "children's app," but a whole mini-ecosystem of early development, where technology helps several participants in the process at once.
Another advantage of e-Magic Box is its accessibility. NCERT did not limit the project to just the app: the service can also be used via WhatsApp, Telegram, and IVRS (voice service). For EdTech, this is a good example of a practical approach: less dependence on one format and more chances that families and teachers in different conditions will actually use the tool.
