A new Wealth-X report revealed which universities had the most graduates with successful careers and high earnings.
Harvard University is strong in first place, with twice as many ultra-rich graduates (with personal capital above $30 million) as Stanford University and the University of Pennsylvania, in second and third place accordingly. 13 650 ultra-rich Harvard graduates have a combined capital of $4.8 trillion. Stanford and UPenn each have 5580 graduates with more than $30 million each. Researchers noted that the overwhelming majority of these graduates were self-made, with only a handful of these future millionaires (15% of the total) graduating with some kind of starting capital, like an inheritance.
It's also interesting to see which universities are most popular among world leaders. According to a study by the British Institute, American universities are in the lead with 62 leaders, closely followed by the United Kingdom, selected by 59 leaders. French universities are also becoming more popular, with 40 leaders graduating from educational institutions in France.
Undoubtedly, global universities use the achievements of exceptional students - Nobel and Pulitzer Prize winners or olympic athletes - to improve their reputations. The number of rich and successful graduates not only indicates the prestige of a university, but also the quality of education it offers.
